Actress attack case: Police record Remya Nambeesan's statement

Remya, who is a close friend of the assaulted actress, was summoned to the Aluva police club, where her statement was recorded by a team led by ADGP B Sandhya.Â

She reached the police club at 10 am on Thursday and left at 12.15 pm. Remya is an executive member of AMMA and is also part of the Women in Cinema Collective, which was constituted after the attack.
Prime accused Pulsar Suni had abducted the actress back in February, while she was going to Remya’s residence in Kochi. The actress also stayed with Remya for a few days after the attack.

Remya had expressed her support to the actress on numerous occasions and also spoke for her in the AMMA general body meeting last month. When Dileep was arrested on July 10, Remya had said that it signals victory for the attacked actress. She had also hailed the Kerala police for their efficiency in the probe.
The police had recorded the statement of filmmaker M Ranjith in connection with the case on Wednesday.
