In what is seen as a breakthrough in the infamous actress attack case, the police have once again recorded the statement of the victim, who was abducted and molested in a car in Kochi back in February.

ADGP B Sandhya summoned the actress at the Aluva police club and took her statement after new information strengthened the conspiracy angle and pointed to the involvement of people attached to the Malayalam film industry in the incident.

The actress' camp had always maintained that the attack was planned and executed with the knowledge of a prominent personality from Mollywood. And by recording her statement again, the probe team has hinted where the investigation is currently headed.
Police sources claim the probe team is likely to submit another charge sheet as the investigation is still continuing.

The new turning point in the case came after prime accused Pulsar Suni's cellmate Jinson alias Jins disclosed crucial information regarding the case to the jail authorities and later to the police. After the police filed a petition, the Ernakulam chief judicial magistrate court had ordered to register Jinson's statement.
Suni, who is currently lodged at the Kakkanad district jail, had revealed important details about the attack to some of his co-prisoners. It is understood that Jinson also surrendered a letter Suni wrote in jail to the prison authorities.
