The Kerala High Court will announce its verdict on the bail plea of actor Dileep, who was arrested in the Kochi actress attack case, on Monday, July 24.

Dileep was arrested on charges of conspiracy on July 10 and is currently in remand at the Aluva sub-jail. Though the hearing on his bail plea was over on Thursday, the HC had reserved its verdict.

The prosecution argued that they have solid evidence that Dileep masterminded the kidnap and assault, while the defence claimed he was arrested only on the basis of prime accused Pulsar Suni.
Meanwhile, Suni’s former advocate Pratheesh Chacko told the police that the mobile phone containing the visuals of the attack on the actress has been destroyed.

The statement was given when Pratheesh was called to the Aluva police club for questioning on Wednesday. “Suni handed over the mobile phone containing the video to me. I passed it to my junior Raju Joseph who destroyed it,” the lawyer reportedly told the police.
The police have refused to believe the story but are considering implicating Pratheesh for aiding the destruction of important evidence in the case.
