FollowAs per the reports with the police, actor Dileep, who is in jail for allegedly conspiring against a young actress and attacking her under the impression that he spoiled his family life, was already married when he got married to Manju Warrier.
The latest report is that Dileep got married to one of his relatives even before he entered into the film industry. The marriage was registered in his original name, Gopalakrishnan.
He then started his film career as assistant director and later ventured into acting. It was then that he fell in love with Manju Warrier, who was his co-actress in several hit films.
Dileep wanted to marry Manju and wanted to get rid of his first wedding.

However, as per police sources, he did not get a formal divorce. Dileep just conveyed his decision to marry Manju to his first wife and her relatives and reached an agreement to separate.
The woman is still in Gulf, and the police have not been able to contact her. They are also trying to take her statement after bringing her to Kerala. No other details about the woman have been revealed by the officials.
However, the police are yet to get the documents of the marriage from registrar's office at Desam in Aluva.
The investigating officials have found the names of persons who were witnesses to the first marriage of the actor. The details and these pieces of evidence are likely to be submitted to the court along with the charge sheet.
The officials had questioned several persons, who knew Dileep during the time he was a mimicry artist. They are also questioning his relatives. The police had questioned his brothers in laws and Manju Warrier's brother the other day.

The investigating officials had spoken to the witnesses of Dileep's first marriage over the phone several times and asked them to report the exact date of marriage.
The details of the woman are yet to be found out. Every person related to the actor, including his friends and relatives, tried to hide the details about his first marriage, sources said.
