Dileep remand extended till October 12

The fans are celebrating the release of the much awaited Dileep starrer 'Ramaleela', but it seems the actor is not likely to get out the jail anytime soon. Angamaly Magistrate Court has extended the remand period of actor Dileep till October 12.

The court extended the remand period while High Court is considering his bail plea for the third time. The High court is expected to give its verdict next week.

Dileep was produced before the court through video conferencing. The actor has been in jail for past 77 days.

The trial court too rejected his bail plea twice, stating that the actor is likely to influence witness and tamper with the evidence.

The prosecution pointed out to the High Court that the staff of Kavya Madhavan's beautique has changed his statement about Pulsar Suni. He had earlier stated that Suni visted the beautique but later changes his statement. The counsel argued that the actor was able to influence the witness.

The Special Investigation Team is yet to submit the charge sheet in the case and prosecution informed High Court that the probe is in a crucial stage.
