As the actor did not show any interest in reading his mails, officials have kept it in the office itself. However, Dileep was asked to sign and receive registered posts in his name.
Usually, jail superintendent goes through the letter to inmates and then hand it over to them. In Dileep's case, all the letters are kept in the office and will be given to the actor once he gets out of the jail.
