The Kerala police have stated that actor Dileep's clarification, with regards to hiring private security personnel for himself, is satisfactory.

Aluva rural SP AV George pointed out that there is no problem in hiring a private security firm with a permit for carrying weapons but the police should be intimated before.

Dileep alleges security threat, have not entrusted security with agency

Dileep is currently out on bail after being arrested in July in connection with the Kochi actress attack case. The police asked him to produce the licence of the agency he is planning to hire and the documents relating to the weapons which will be used for his protection.

The actor had earlier informed the police that he has security threats but hasn’t appointed any private security agency yet. He stressed that he only had a discussion with the officials of Goa-based Thunder Force security agency.
