Dileep D Cinemaas documents missing

Documents related to D Cinemas, the multiplex owned by actor Dileep, went missing from the files of Chalakudy municipality. These two documents are a must while providing permission for construction of a building.

The authorities found that the possession certificate and sketch of the building are missing after reports that the land was encroached by the actor. Municipality officials said that they would inform the matter to Vigilance Department.

Meanwhile, the district survey superintendent has issued a notice to Dileep and six other persons who own land near the multiplex. District administration has decided to conduct a survey of the land on which the multiplex is situated.

Thrissur district collector had confirmed that the actor encroached government land to build his multiplex and claimed that the case is complicated. In the report, collector also stated that several documents had been lost and a detailed examination is required. However, he was referring to back files from 1950 and not the latest ones related to the actor.

State revenue minister too had confirmed that he received collectors report.

There were allegations that the complex was originally named DM-Cinemaas, indicating a partnership between Dileep and Mani, the late actor. However, by the time the multiplex was opened, it was just D Cinemaas as Dileep called off their partnership after some difference of opinion.

There are rumours that Mani wanted the m multiplex in his native land Chalakudy while Dileep preferred Kottarakkara for the venture. It is also said that it was Mani who spotted the land and paid the advance amount. There is another allegation that an MLA from the opposition has also invested in the project.
