Kerala High Court has postponed the hearing on the bail plea submitted by actor Dileep in actress attack case for Thursday. The main contention raised by his counsel K Ramkumar was that the actor was arrested without conducting an inquiry into his complaint on a conspiracy to blast his film career. However, he also raised few other interesting points before the court.

The arrest was solely based on the statement of first accused, Pulsar Suni, who is a notorious criminal involved in a number of robbery and abduction cases.

The remand report submitted before Judicial First Class Magistrate court seeking custody did not have any statement indicating his connection with petitioner in the crime.

Police sought custody while bail application was pending.

The contention of prosecution that the actor is likely to tamper with the evidence is baseless as he won't be able to influence the witnesses, complainant and Manju Warrier, whom ADGP Sandhya had questioned.
