Ram Rahim has real estate properties worth Rs 280 crore in Kerala, according to Intelligence reports. He bought several acres of land in tourist destinations such as Wayanad, Munnar, Vagamon and Kumarakom and also in Kochi and Thiruvananathapuram under Dera and other benami names.
The controversial godman - known as 'rockstar baba' and 'guru of bling' - also had plans to pump in a whopping Rs 6,000 crore in several enterprises in Kerala, including real estate, colleges and hospitals, in the near future.

Ram Rahim also wanted to launch a spiritual music channel in Malayalam, with participation from reknowned global musicians. There were also reports that he would hold a concert at the Kaloor stadium in Kochi but the plan was eventually shelved.
The godman has visited Kerala three times, according to reports. Vythiri in Wayanad was one of his preferred getaway destinations in Kerala. He is known to have close relations with several leading politicians and community leaders in the state.
