However, the court refused to cancel the case. The bench also said that reaching an agreement with the actress is not enough to take such action.

In the affidavit, which was submitted along with the application of Aju Varghese, the actress has requested the court to dismiss the case. It was a mistake from the side of the actor, and he has no bad intention while naming her in his Facebook post, the actress has said.

Aju Varghese had made the post supporting Dileep soon after his arrest. Following this, a case was filed against him on the basis of a complaint lodged by a person named Gireesh Babu.

The actor had in his post asked the assaulted actress not to make Dileep the offender. As his post was widely discussed, Aju tendered an apology, to the actress, saying that he has removed her name after realising that it was wrong.

Before the arrest, Dileep too had commented against the actress for which he later apologised. He had said that the actress and Pulsar Suni, the main accused, were friends.

Meanwhile, Salim Kumar too came out against the actress saying that she must be subjected to a lie detector test, but he later apologised.
