Aju Varghese arrested for revealing the name of assaulted actress

Kerala police arrested actor Aju Varghese for revealing the name of assaulted actress. The actor had in a Facebook post revealed the identity of the actress. 

He was arrested at 6.30 pm and was released on bail from police station itself. The actor had been booked under Section 228 (A) of the Indian Penal Code. 

Aju Varghese had revealed the name of the actress in a Facebook post. On realising the mistake, the actor deleted the post, but police registered a case against him.

Later, Aju approached High Court seeking to quash the case with a statement from the actress. The actress had said that the mistake was unintentional and she does not have any complaint.

However, the court denied to interfere in the matter, and police said the case cannot be withdrawn just because he made a truce with the actress.
