Water project inaugurated even before completion of work: Yeddyurappa
- Drinking water project in Gadag is incomplete, civil works are of substandard.

FollowThe Chief Minister has inaugurated the drinking water project at Gadag even before the completion, alleged former CM and BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa.
He was speaking to newspersons on his way to Chikkodi, Belgaum. Rural Development Minister H K Patil has failed to provide drinking water to villages, until now. Though the villages in his own district are supplied with drinking water only once in a month, he is behaving as if he has no connection with it, Yeddyurappa said.
The advertisement published stating that Rs 65,000 crores are spent on irrigation projects, issued by Water Resources Minister M B Patil, is completely false. Irrigation works of not even Rs 36,000 crores are undertaken in the State. The government should stop giving false advertisements for publicity, he urged.
Mission 150 confirmed
The BJP’s mission of winning 150 seats in the Assembly elections will definitely be accomplished. Siddaramaiah is unaware of it. BJP has all the support in the State, he said. He was referring to Siddaramaiah’s sarcasm that Yeddyurappa is keeping the mission in his pocket and roaming about. The Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues have no responsibility towards people. The State Congress government is busy looting the state treasury. The farmers are protesting pleading loan waiver but the government has not shown any compassion towards them. There is scarcity of water and people are desperate but the government is looting in the name of water projects, he alleged.
He came down very heavily on KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar for his comments of Dalits and urged him to refrain from it. BJP is not visiting homes of Dalits just for eating there but to give a hearing and attempt to solve their problems, he said.
He stated that the failures of the government will be debated at the Assembly. As the Opposition Party, BJP will carryout its duties to best effect. “We will take people’s problems to the government and take government’s corruption to people”, he said.
