Manjunath Choori, a native of Bagalkot who had gone missing from Hamburg City in Germany since June 18, has reportedly ended his life by jumping into a river in Hamburg.

The family was informed about his missing by his friend Anil Deshpande after he found Manjunath's apartment locked for over three days. He had lodged a complaint with Hamburg police. Manjunath, a native of Simikeri village in Bagalkot district was pursuing M Sc in Hamburg for the last one-and-a-half-year.

It is said that Manjunath had visited the family in November as his father had passed away. Although he was depressed, he was constantly in touch with his mother and sisters, back home. He seemed to be fine. However, the family members are in depression since he had gone missing.

Manjunath has reportedly left behind a hand written letter in Kannada. However, the contents of the letter are not known, yet, reports Suvarna News. Hamburg police are yet to recover his body from the river which is flowing to the full, television reports said.
