Bollywood and Sandalwood music director and singer Gagan Baderia, son of revenue department former principal secretary Gangaram Baderia, who was arrested last month in the Jantakal mining scam, too is facing the threat of being arrested, as it has come to light that he had also allegedly received money from Jantakal Enterprises, on the insistence of his father. Gagan Baderia had applied for anticipatory bail in the Lokayukta Special court, reports Kannada Prabha.
Vinod Goel, of Jantakal Mining Company, had informed the SIT that the company had paid two cheques of Rs 20 lakhs each to Gangaram Baderia’s son Gagan Baderia, to fund his music course in London and for setting up a studio in Bengaluru at the basement of his father’s house in HSR Layout. The SIT has issued a notice to Gagan Baderia to attend the inquiry. Fearing arrest, he had applied for the anticipatory bail. SIT officials on their part have also submitted an objection to granting the bail to Gagan Baderia.
