The official inauguration will be flagged off by State in charge K C Venugopal at Mahadevapura constituency on Sept 23 with and senior Congress leaders, Ministers and MLAs present.  The campaign aims at providing information to public about the achievements of the government.

He recalled that earlier a Congress door-to-door campaign was held to inform the public about the failures of BJP Government and it had worked successfully.  After taking charge the Congress Government has performed to the satisfaction of the public.  Of the 165 assurances given during election, 155 are already fulfilled. Every citizen of the State has been covered under one or the other schemes.  With this satisfaction we are going to people, he said.

In the 224 constituency there are 54,000 booths.  Congress workers at booth level will go door- to- door and distribute booklet detailing the achievements of the State Government along with the promises made and fulfilled.  One in charge has been appointed at every booth. The campaign comes to end on October 15 he said.

Responding to a query regarding the IT raid on former chief minister S M Krishna’s son-in-law Siddhartha, Dr Parameshwar said, Siddhartha is an independent businessman without any affiliation to any party.  IT is an independent outfit doing its duty. He said he in unaware of who promised what during S M Krishna leaving Congress. May be Siddhartha being an entrepreneur could be the reason for IT raid. Any raid should not be politically motivated, he said.
