110-year-old Siddaganga seer hospitalised for high fever

110 year old Siddaganga seer hospitalised for high fever

Siddaganga seer Dr Shivakumara swami has been admitted to the BGS Global Hospital in Bengaluru for fever and throat pain on Thursday. The 110-year-old seer has been suffering from fever for the past couple of days, it is reported.

A team of eight doctors led by Dr Ravindra is treating the doctor at the hospital. Heavy police security has been deployed in front of the hospital to prevent anyone from disturbing him. Suttur Seer Shivarathri Deshikendra swami and Konnur seer rushed to meet the seer at the hospital, said reports.

It may be recalled here that the seer was hospitalised in May when he had multiple organ complications. He had refused to undergo surgery then. However, he was discharged after an intensive treatment.

Regarded as 'Walking God' (Nadedaduva Devaru), Shivakumara Swamiji is the head seer of prominent Lingayat math Siddaganga math in Tumakuru. He is known for his humanitarian work. The seer is known as 'Akshara dasohi', the seer - through the scheme - has been providing free food to over 8,000 children from poor families to help them pursue education for over seven decades. He is the recipient of Padma Award among other awards.
