The incident took place in Nittarahalli village in Madhugiri taluk. The victim has been identified as Gangaraju, aged 36, while the accused is his elder brother, Narasimhamurthy. According to reports, Narasimhamurthy had been struggling with alcohol addiction for some time.
Argument Over Money Escalates
On Tuesday evening, Narasimhamurthy reportedly asked Gangaraju for money to purchase alcohol. When his request was refused, a heated argument broke out between the two. Narasimhamurthy, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, became enraged and attacked his brother.

Following the incident, another brother, Subrahmanya, filed a complaint at Kodigenahalli Police Station. Acting promptly, the police arrested the accused. Tumakuru District Superintendent of Police Ashok KV also visited the scene to inspect the area.
