SC East Bengal brought its 2020-21 Indian Super League campaign to a thrilling end, suffering a 5-6 loss to Odisha FC at the GMC Stadium in Goa on Saturday. With this, while SCEB has managed to finish at ninth, Odisha has ended up being at rock bottom.

As for the game, there were four different goal scorers for Odisha: Lalhrezuala Sailo, Paul Ramfangzauva, Jerry Mawihmingthanga and Diego Mauricio. While for SCEB, there were three: Anthony Pilkington, Aaron Amadi Holloway and Jeje Lalpekhlua, while one of its goals came through an own goal, off Odisha goalkeeper Ravi Kumar.

Following the game, SCEB boss Robbie Fowler reviewed the overall season and stated that although the things and results did not go its way, it wasn't a disappointing season. "I disagree with it being a disappointing season. We would have liked things to have been better. There were individual errors and we let ourselves down. Less said about the second half the better. Every shot they had, went in. We knew it was a big job before start of the season. Expectations were a bit higher than what we envisaged," he said, reports Sportstar.

"We can prepare for next season now. We didn't have enough time for this season. We have few months to get things in shape," he added.

"I don't know if you are after a comment from me. At times, they have been left wanting. Attitude and desire need to be improved. We have lot of things gone against us this year. If you are honest, people don't like it here. It's better to keep it quiet," he concluded.
