ISL 2020-21: Juan Ferrando not bothered by FC Goa's unbeaten run, aims for title win
With a goalless draw over Hyderabad FC, FC Goa has now sealed its place in the Indian Super League 2020-21 playoffs by finishing in the fourth spot, while the former has finished fifth. Goa has never won the title before, while it has been playing the tournament since 2014.
FC Goa managed to hold Hyderabad FC goalless in a dramatic encounter during the 2020-21 Indian Super League at the Fatorda Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday. Goa has thus managed to finish fourth and qualify for the playoffs, while Hyderabad finishes fifth.
As a result, Goa is currently on a 13-game unbeaten run in the competition. However, club boss Juan Ferrando is not concerned about it, as it eyes the title for the ultimate glory.
"The records are not important to me. I am happy that Goa are in the playoffs. I am happy about this point. We controlled the space in a lot of games. A new record should be us winning the trophy. All three teams are difficult. Bagan are a very compact team. Mumbai are a good team, they want to play football. NorthEast's performances since changing the coach has been incredible," he said after the game, reports goal.com.

"It was a very difficult game. They are a good time with good players. They control the spaces. Today, it was difficult to control emotions. All the players know what happens after 90 minutes. In the end, in this case, I am happy about the point. But, in the attack, I am very disappointed. We lost a lot of easy passes. In defence, I am happy," he added.
Meanwhile, Goa takes on table-topper Mumbai City FC in the opening leg of the semis on Friday. It would be Goa's sixth appearance in the semis, having finished as the runner-up on two occasions (2015 and 2018-19).
