ATK Mohun Bagan continued with its heroic performance in the Indian Super League 20202-1. It tamed Jamshedpur FC 1-0, courtesy of Roy Krishna's sole strike, at the Fatorda Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.

ATKMB has risen to the top and sealed its playoffs berth, while Jamshedpur struggles in the sixth place. Meanwhile, ATKMB manager, Antonio Lopez Habas was all praise for his boys following the achievement.

"I'm very proud with the performance of my players. We want to claim the top spot in the Indian Super League standings this year. Arindam Bhattacharya and Roy Krishna are like my children and I can't really pick a favourite among the two. I'm really happy for them," he said, reports Sportstar.

"In the first half, we did not play well. We could not win those second balls. But we improved in the second half and won the match. That is exactly what we have been doing this season. We have a defensive formula and that's been extremely efficient. We don't need to score a lot of goals because we keep clean sheets every now and then," he added.

Meanwhile, Jamshedpur head coach, Owen Coyle lashed out at his boys for playing too composed, lamenting that they deserved to lose. "We certainly didn't deserve to lose today. It was a great header from Valskis. That was one of the best saves I've seen in my career. The game was evenly poised. There was a mistake towards the end and we had to pay for it. I'm extremely disappointed. We want to win the remaining six points. If we replicate today's performance without the errors, we can do that," he rued.

"However, Mohun Bagan is an amazing team. We need to learn from them and improve in the final third. Passing is a very important aspect of football. Even if you're tired, you need to produce those long balls. They did that and claimed the three points," he concluded.
