- Kolkata Knight Riders were humbled by Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.
- KKR had to chase a mammoth 210 runs in 20 overs.
We are nearing the business end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 and things start getting a little trickier from here onwards. The pressure of the situation can get to any player but remaining calm under pressure is what makes a better cricketer. However, Robin Uthappa did lose his cool during the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders game.
Uthappa has been one of the best batsmen in this edition of the IPL and the number game vows for him as well. His whirlwind innings of 53 runs from just 28 balls was another feather to his cap. But unfortunately he could not save the day for KKR. As a result, the two-time IPL champions lost the match by 48 runs.
During the run chase, Uthappa hit Siddharth Kaul a beautiful on drive, which had raced away to the boundary for a four. On his way back to the crease, Uthappa brushed his shoulder heavily with Kaul and that surprised the bowler. Ideally, Uthappa should not have done that as no body contact is allowed in cricket according to the rulebooks of the game.
The umpire warned Uthappa and then Yuvraj Singh stepped in to calm things down. The southpaw from Punjab was seen making Uthappa understand that he needs to calm down. The KKR hard-hitting batsmen apologised as well.
