When MS Dhoni walked out in the middle after the dismissal of Steve Smith against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday, Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) required another 90 runs. The equation was extremely difficult for the home side as they needed a Dhoni special to get over the line.

Just when Smith had wished for Dhoni-style dramatic run chase, the former Indian captain decided to treat his side and fans with one. An innings of 61 runs from just 34 balls led the RPS over the line and pushed them to the fourth place in the IPL 2017 points table.

MS Dhoni has had run chases for his dinners in the past and he proved yet again why he is termed as arguably the greatest finisher of the game. He is the epitome of calmness and the way he orchestrated that run chase, it was difficult for even Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has been the best death overs bowler in IPL to stop the legend.
