Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) could not revive their fortune despite Virat Kohli's comeback. Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians restricted Bangalore to a small total of 142 in 20 overs on Friday. Virat Kohli's heroics with the bat was the only highlight of the RCB innings. The skipper a brilliant half-century despite the pitch acting weird as it assisted the bowlers.

RCB have now lost two consecutive matches because of their bowling. Tymal Mills, who is the most expensive bowler of IPL 2017, has not lived up to his standards. Billy Stanlake has done well but not well enough to take RCB over the line. Yuzvendra Chahal has bowled well but he was hit all over the park by Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya the other day. \

The batting department has somehow done ok. But Kohli needs support from his bowlers and his middle order. Apart from Kedar Jadhav, none of the lower-order batsmen have contributed for RCB's cause.

Kohli need to use his bowlers wisely against Rising Pune Supergiant, who also have lost three matches in a row. Both RCB and RPS will be desperate for a win on Sunday. It will be interesting to see which are the bowlers Kohli is going to opt for against Steve Smith and co.

For the time being, Kohli and coach Daniel Vettori will have to work in close association with their think tanks to get the perfect XI out on the field against RPS.
