Virat Kohli and his probable tactics for RCB against Mumbai Indians

For some people, the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 started on April 5 but for Royal Challengers Bangalore fans, their IPL begins from today as Virat Kohli is back in the side and is raring to go. His inspirational leadership powered RCB to the final of IPL 2016 but Sunrisers Hyderabad had the last laugh.

As Kohli is back in the side, there will be a number of changes in the playing XI. The big question which will pop up - Who will open the batting with Kohli at the top? The answer for the Indian captain will be simple - Chris Gayle. But the problem lies with the fact that the big Jamaican has failed to fire in IPL 2017 but Kohli might just place his bid on the West Indian.

AB de Villiers is the ideal number 4 for Kohli and the other two foreign recruits are likely going to be Tymal Mills and Shane Watson. An extra Indian seamer in place of Iqbal Abdulla might well be a point of consideration as well because Mumbai Indians will fancy taking the spinners on a small ground like Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Mumbai Indians hold an 11-8 win-loss record against RCB and that is not really a stat that the home side would want to see before they take the field on Friday. But we all can believe, that RCB's outlook is likely going to change with the arrival of their master captain Virat 'Run Machine' Kohli.
