Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are on a role as they have notched up their third win in a row to maintain their position at the top of the IPL 2017 points table. KKR thrashed Delhi Daredevils for the second time in the tournament. Gautam Gambhir's side did it quite comfortably at the end with 7 wickets in hand and with more than three overs to spare.

Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir were the stars of the show as they pulled off yet another fantastic run chase. This was their second 100-run partnership in a row and boy they did it in style. Uthappa and Gambhir have been relentless as they have been competing for the Orange Cap. But for the time being Gambhir holds the Cap for 376 runs in just 9 innings. Uthappa is right behind him in the list with 331 runs in same number of matches.

Gambhir had won the toss and asked the Daredevils to bat first. The moment when Gambhir had a look at the wicket he knew he was going to chase. KKR have not lost a game while chasing at the Eden Gardens since 2013. So he was definitely backing the strength of the batting lineup.

The Daredevils batsmen were off to a great start. Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer added some crucial runs in the middle overs but things started falling apart when Nathan Coulter-Nile struck twice in quick succession. For a moment it looked like DD would cross the 180-run mark easily but KKR bowlers did a wonderful job to restrict them to only 160 runs.

Then it was the Gambhir and Uthappa show yet again. Gambhir remained unbeaten on 71* from 52 balls and Uthappa was dismissed for a superb 59 from 33 balls.
