Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday. This is going to be a repeat of last year’s epic final that took place in Bengaluru, where David Warner and co. prevailed over the RCB juggernaut.

An epic showdown is expected in Hyderabad, where an injury-hit RCB will look to avenge last year final’s loss. However, it is not going to be a cakewalk for either of the teams. SRH will be missing their pace-sensation Mustafizur Rahman for the first match, as he is busy with his national side in Sri Lanka.

But SRH will have the upper hand over RCB as the match is going to be played at the former’s home ground. Also, David Warner, their skipper, will look to bounce back to form as early as possible.

Two Australians Shane Watson and Warner will square off in Hyderabad and one can expect a lot of firework on Wednesday.

RCB on other hand have a lot of serious names missing from their squad. AB de Villiers has made himself unavailable for the first game. Talented youngster Sarfaraz Khan has also been ruled out of IPL 2017.

Skipper Virat Kohli will be travelling with the squad as the mentor of the side. Shane Watson will be the stand-in captain for RCB for the initial games in IPL 2017.
