Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will square off against an in-form Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in Match no. 4 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Saturday. Glenn Maxwell will lead KXIP in IPL 2017 and believe it or not, the talented Australian has never led a side in his career. He was announced as the captain after Murali Vijay pulled out of the IPL 2017 owing to an injury.

Despite having the likes of Eoin Morgan and Darren Sammy, who have done wonders for their respective national sides, it remains unknown why the franchise opted for Maxwell. However, it would be wrong on our part to comment so early as they have not even played a match in this season of the IPL. Maxwell will have a tough time choosing his playing XI against the Supergiant, who just outplayed Mumbai Indians couple of days ago.

Meanwhile, RPS will not be tinkering much with their winning combination. Ashok Dinda is likely to make way for Shardul Thakur in the playing XI after the former's awful performance in the first match. If the Indore wicket has more to offer to the batsmen, then Adam Zampa will have to be sacrificed and in that case, the South Africa skipper, Faf du Plessis will make the cut.

RPS skipper Steven Smith has been in incredible form in the calendar year and he has carried that form into the IPL 2017. We witnessed the blistering knock of the Australian couple of days ago against the Mumbai Indians. The knock that gave RPS their first win of this 10th edition of the IPL.
