Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match no. 8 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Monday. Both teams have won their previous matches and they have two points each. However, KXIP is ahead of RCB in the points table because of a better net run rate. RCB will have to improve on their net run rate because it can hurt them at the later stages of the IPL 2017.

KXIP looks like a rejuvenated side as skipper Glenn Maxwell led his team from the front during their first match of the IPL 2017 against Rising Pune Supergiant the other day. His form will be crucial for KXIp's proceedings in this tournament. David Miller also looked in good shape and touch and boy these two love batting with each other. When Miller and Maxwell are on song, bowlers need to to take a serious note of that threat. RCB probably have duly noted Maxwell and Miller's performance against RPS.

Hashim Amla at the top of the order could lose his place to Martin Guptill as KXIP mentor Virender Sehwag would like to attack more upfront. Rest of the team looks balanced and in good form. They would be raring to put up a good show against a spirited RCB side on Monday at the Holkar Cricket Stadium.

RCB on the other hand, have a few things to worry about. Their top order has failed to fire in both matches and that cannot continue to happen in IPL 2017. It is not going to help them in their cause. If RCB has to find their winning mojo back, they need a couple of blistering thunderstorms from Chris Gayle.
