Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will square off at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali. The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 is nearing its business end and things are getting more serious with each and every single game.

Mumbai Indians have already qualified for the playoff stages and KKR are second in line to qualify. One win will be enough for Gautam Gambhir and co. to secure a top-two finish. But it will not come that easily against KXIP, as they are going to come all out guns at their opponents.

Before KXIP and KKR lock horns, here are five things that you need to know

## Kings XI Punjab will be without Hashim Amla, David Miller, Eoin Morgan and Marcus Stoinis. Amla was in top plight and they are seriously going to miss the class of the South African opener.

## Since Delhi Daredevils have been knocked out of the playoff race, KXIP has no option but to win all their remaining three games to maintain pressure on Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are on 15 points. In that case, Maxwell and co. would hope SRH lose their last game.

## KXIP have lost to KKR in their last eight consecutive meetings - no other team has lost nine games on the bounce against any franchise in the history of the tournament.

## KKR star man Sunil Narine holds a great record against the Punjab side. The West Indian has 23 scalps to his name against this team, which is more than any other bowler.

## Gautam Gambhir too holds an amazing record at this ground. He has scored three half-centuries in his last four matches in Mohali.
