Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) were narrowly outplayed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their previous game at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali a couple of days ago. Glenn Maxwell's side had their share of chances but they have failed to take advantage of the situations and thus succumbed to their fifth loss of the season. KXIP is looking at yet another difficult end of an IPL season.

Delhi Daredevils too, have a similar tale to share. They have lost four matches in a row despite having one of the youngest sides in the IPL 2017. Zaheer Khan and co. have underperformed and there's no doubt about it. A number of players have not been used properly. Their habit of tinkering with the playing XI has hurt them yet again.

Believe it or not, Delhi Daredevils have not played with the same XI in 28 consecutive matches since 2015. They have not been able to hit the right combination and that is evident from this piece of statistics.

KXIP, on the other hand, should ideally bring back David Miller as he is an experienced campaigner. Darren Sammy too should get an opportunity to exercise his talents in this shortest format of the game.

The Daredevils might bring back Sam Billings at the top of the order as Karun Nair has struggled right throughout this edition of the IPL 2017. The pressure of that triple century against England has probably gotten to him. This would mean the exclusion of Corey Anderson. Zaheer Khan also was feeling a niggle in his calf in the last match. It remains to be seen whether he is fit for this crucial tie or not.

Likely XIs:

Delhi Daredevils: Sanju Samson, Sam Billings, Karun Nair, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Chris Morris, Mohammed Shami, Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins, Amit Mishra, Zaheer Khan (C).

Kings XI Punjab: Martin Guptill, Manan Vohra, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell (C), Gurkeerat Singh, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Axar Patel, Mohit Sharma, Darren Sammy, KC Cariappa, T Natarajan.
