IPL 2017 Sunrisers Hyderabad knocks down Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs

Sunrisers Hyderabad have opened their accounts in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 points table. The defending champions have prevailed yet again over a reeling Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side. David Warner and co. have outplayed RCB by XX runs and that too effortlessly. SRH played some flawless cricket in the opening match of the IPL 2017 and what a way to announce themselves!

RCB got off to a brilliant start with the help of Chris Gayle and Mandeep Singh. But that partnership did not last long as debutant Rashid Khan bamboozled Mandeep. Gayle also could not make his presence felt as he too followed Mandeep to the pavilion soon. Kedar Jadhav and Travis Head showed some resistance but a blistering throw from Ben Cutting knocked the bells off and sent Jadhav back to the dugout.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He picked up a couple of wickets and was economical too. Rashid Khan too did extremely well on his dream debut. The Afghanistan leggie also picked up two wickets. Ashish Nehra also bagged a couple of scalps.

RCB's state of game was pretty much all over the place. It is nothing but clear that without Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, RCB are not a threatening side at all. Royal Challengers Bangalore could only manage to score 172 runs at the end, losing by 35 runs.
