IPL 2017: SRH likely to miss pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman
- Mustafizur Rahman was an integral part of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s IPL-winning campaign in 2016.
- If the left-handed seamer does not make it to the IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad will have to make do with a depleted bowling attack.
“I have learnt a lot from the IPL, but I don’t think I will be able to make it for the tournament this time around. I am waiting for permission from the Board”, Bangladesh’s pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman said just a week ahead of the start of IPL 2017. This might have put a serious dent to the campaign of the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Mustafizur Rahman was an integral part of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s IPL-winning campaign in 2016. Not only did he pick up wickets but also he was extremely economical. The 21-year-old was bought for ₹ 1.4 crore at the IPL 2016 players’ auction.
Fizz, as he is popularly known as, is currently playing for his national side against Sri Lanka. However, if the left-handed seamer does not make it to the IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad will have to make do with a depleted bowling attack.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are supposed to lock horns with the runners up of IPL 2016, Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 5 at the former’s home ground.
