IPL 2017 Match 5 RCB vs Delhi Daredevils Team news and likely XI

The most interesting fact about this match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) is that either of these two sides will not be able to field their first XI. A number of players are unavailable and many of them have opted out of IPL 2017 owing to injuries. Delhi Daredevils lost the likes of JP Duminy, Quinton de Kock and Shreyas Iyer and on the other hand, there are some notable absentees in RCB as well - Virat Kohli, Ab de Villiers, KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan.

Delhi Dardevils are a bowling-heavy side as they have plenty of options in their ranks to play around with. Skipper Zaheer Khan is likely to opt for Kagiso Rabada, Chris Morris, Amit Mishra, Shabaz Nadeem and Mohammed Shami. Sam Billings and Sanju Samson are the two likely openers for Delhi Daredevils, followed by Karun Nair, Carlos Brathwaite and Aditya Tare. That is indeed a good strong lineup.

Meanwhile, RCB are unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI. Kohli and De Villiers are not yet fit to play in the IPL 2017 but they are recovering quickly. The skipper and the prolific South African might be back for RCB in the next game if everything goes right for them .
