IPL 2017 Match 4 KXIP vs RPS Team news likely XIs

Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore is going to host an array of superstars in match no. 4 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 on Saturday evening. The encounter between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) has everything in it to convert the clash into a thrilling one. In case you have forgotten, the last match of the league in IPL 2016 was played between these two sides and none other than MS Dhoni pulled off an unbelievable finish to put KXIP at the bottom of the points table.

A lot has changed since then -- Dhoni is not the captain of RPS anymore, Ravichandran Ashwin is also missing from their ranks, Steve Smith is their new skipper, who just showed that he is in sublime form. They will look to continue with this form of theirs against KXIP as well. RPS is not going to change much and they are likely to retain the same side. However, Ashok Dinda may have to leave his place to Shardul Thakur. Also, if the pitch has a lot to offer to the batsmen, Faf du Plessis may also play his first game of IPL 2017 in place of Adam Zampa. Deepak Chahar may make way for Jaydev Unadkat or Ishwar Pandey.

Maxwell is likely to have a tough time selecting his playing XI. The four foreign recruits in their lineup is likely going to be the skipper himself, Eoin Morgan, David Miller and Marcus Stoinis. Manan Vohra and Maxwell should ideally open the innings for KXIP, followed by Wriddhiman Saha at no. 3. KC Cariappa, Axar Patel should take care of the spinning department. Sandeep Sharma, Varun Aaron and Mohit Sharma will be dealing with the seam.
