Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will lock horns with Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Mecca of Indian cricket - Eden Gardens later this evening. On one hand, there will be a high-flying KXIP and on the other, there will be a buoyed KKR side.

KKR will be without their hitman Chris Lynn as he sustained a shoulder injury yet again during the Mumbai Indians game and is likely to take some time to get fit. He may even miss the rest of the IPL 2017. However, KKR will be boosted with the arrival of Shakib al Hasan and Umesh Yadav. Both these players have had a wonderful season and they will be raring to go out and perform for their side in IPL 2017.

KXIP, on the other hand, is unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI. They are one of the top plight sides in IPL 2017 and are in no mood to let go off this winning momentum they are in right now.

However, KKR is like an old nemesis for KXIP as they former has won 13 out of 19 games played against the latter. It will be interesting to see whether KKR clips KXIP's wings in this high-voltage encounter.
