- KKR have won six out of eight times against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
- Sunrisers Hyderabad have never beaten KKR at the Eden Gardens.
Considering the fact that the Eden Gardens is Kolkata Knight Riders' fortress, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be pumped up to play some good all-round cricket against this quality side in Match no. 14 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017. Also, David Warner's side holds an awful record at the Eden Gardens, as they have never been able to get the better of the Knight Riders.
SRH are coming into this fixture on the back of a loss against an in-form Mumbai Indians. Meanwhile, KKR managed to thrash Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in their previous game. Both teams are evenly matched and this can turn out to be an interesting encounter as SRH will be looking to end their Eden Gardens jinx.
KKR and SRH have four points each from three matches and are only separated because of the net run rate. Knight Riders would want to reclaim the top spot in the IPL 2017 points table by notching up yet another win against SRH.
Gautam Gambhir has been in terrific form right from the onset of IPL 2017 and he is likely to emulate that in this match as well. Manish Pandey has looked in good knick too. Batting is not a worry for KKR but fielding is. They cannot leak so many runs and drop simple regulation catches. Despite these, Gambhir is unlikely to make any changes to his playing XI. Warner on the other hand would want Moises Henriques to gain match fitness and return in place of Ben Cutting. Rest of the team is likely to remain the same.
