IPL 2017 KKR vs KXIP: How the match could transpire

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will get to play their first match at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday against an upbeat Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). This is a tough fixture for the hosts as they will run into a red-hot KXIP side, who has both their matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 so far. 

 

Gautam Gambhir will rely on the home advantage as the crowd here at the Eden Gardens goes right behind the home side and that adds a lot of pressure on the opponents. But that will not enough for the two-time IPL champions. 

 

KKR lost their last game against Mumbai Indians - a match that Gambhir and co. could have won but their bowling let them down and that usually does not happen with them. KXIP on the other hand, have been on top of their game, be it their batting or bowling. Captain Glenn Maxwell has led the side from the front and has been amongst runs.
