Delhi Daredevils has probably been the only side in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), who prefers changing their squad a lot before every edition of the tournament. This year they meant business at the IPL 2017 auction and their squad looked really strong. Just when everything was looking fine, South African all-rounder JP Duminy pulled out of the 10th edition of the IPL.

This might have just unsettled the Delhi Daredevils side a bit as an all-rounder of Duminy’s calibre can make a lot of difference and that is not going to happen in IPL 2017.

As a result, Delhi Daredevils will now have to look for a replacement for Duminy – an all-rounder who has not been picked at the auction or may be a bowler or may be another batsman! It is up to the strategist, coach and skipper Zaheer Khan to decide, who they would want to pick.

JP Duminy has scored 1993 runs in 77 matches at an average of 39.86 in the last nine seasons of the IPL so far. He also has picked up 23 wickets with an economy of just a little above 7 in 77 games. So replacing someone like Duminy will be a tough ask for Delhi Daredevils.

However, here are some of the unpicked players whom Delhi Daredevils can rope in as Duminy’s replacement for IPL 2017: Irfan Pathan, Shabbir Rahman, Alex Hales, Michael Klinger, Colin Munro, James Neesham and Andre Fletcher.
