Gujarat Lions restrict RCB to a small total

Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) batting woes continue as they were bundled out for a meagre total of 134 runs in 20 overs. Gujarat Lions had won the toss and chose to field first. RCB skipper Virat Kohli had said at the toss that he wanted to bat first so it was a good toss to lose. But thing really did not go RCB's way yet again.

Kohli and Chris Gayle were not allowed to get off to a good start. Nathu Singh and Basil Thampi bowled great line and lengths and did not give any room to either of the batsmen. As a result, both the batsmen were left frustrated and Kohli was the first victim.

Andrew Tye almost got his second hat-trick of the IPL 2017. He dismissed Gayle and Travis Head in consecutive deliveries. The Australian was the pick of the bowlers. His figures at the end read 4-0-12-3.

Kedar Jadhav and Pawan Negi were the only two batsmen who went past the 30-run mark and that too in quick time but perished at the wrong time. This was yet another disappointing batting display by RCB. Now they will have to bowl extremely well to defend this low total.

Brief Score:

RCB 134 all out; Kedar Jadhav 31, Pawan Negi 32 | Andrew Tye 4-0-12-3.
