Can Kohli RCB trump Gambhir KKR Team news and likely XIs

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will square off against their long-term rivals Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Eden Gardens on Sunday evening in Match no. 27 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017. Gautam Gambhir and co. will look to bounce back and get back to winning ways again.

KKR's winning run was halted by the Gujarat Lions in their last game and that too at the former's home. Virat Kohli and co. will have to play good all-round cricket in order to outshine KKR at their backyard. Eden Gardens has been a fortress for KKR and believe it or not, RCB holds a better record at this venue.

RCB is likely to bring back AB de Villiers in place of Shane Watson to bolster their batting. RCB bowlers have done a decent job in the last few matches so Kohli is unlikely to change his bowlers for this crucial tie.

However, this is an important encounter for Kohli's side. They will want to grab those 2 points from this game and climb up the IPL 2017 points table. KKR, on the other hand, are not going to bow down easily and that has been their USP.
