Rishabh Pant played a blinder a few days ago. Rahul Tripathi rose to the occasion and showcased his talent. Manan Vohra came up with a fighting knock. And now it was time for Shreyas Iyer to join the bandwagon and boy he did it in style.

The Mumbai cricketer played an incredible knock for Delhi Daredevils and orchestrated the rescue act almost single-handedly against Gujarat Lions at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Wednesday.

Delhi Daredevils never looked like they would have reached the daunting target of 196 runs set by Suresh Raina and co. But Iyer kept his calm and held on to his nerves and guided his side over the line.

Iyer's inning of 96 runs from 57 balls was a treat for the eyes. Initially, he was trying to hit the ball hard but as he got into the groove, he slowly started playing those gorgeous cricketing shots. His knock was decorated by 15 boundaries and two massive sixes.

Unfortunately, he did not reach that much-deserving hundred like Pant, Tripathi and Manan Vohra. But this knock was indeed a special one and will be remembered by all. The others could not take their side over the line but Delhi Daredevils landed on the right side of the result.
