5 reasons why Lynn and Narine are the best opening pair in IPL 2017

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have had a wonderful Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 so far. They are primed to finish in one of the top two slots in the IPL 2017 points table. But things have fallen apart in the last few games but one can be rest assured, Gautam Gambhir and co. will buckle up and have the likely finish. 

Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn have been pivotal in KKR's success. They are instrumental in giving KKR just the kind of starts they have looked for at the top of the order. Lynn and Narine have scared the opponents with their style of batting. 

Here are five reasons why Lynn and Narine are the best opening pair in this edition of the IPL:

## Lynn and Narine have together scored 473 runs at a strike rate of above 180 in IPL 2017. If Lynn would have played the rest of the IPL, he probably would have been at the top of the highest run-getters list. 

## The left-hand and right-hand combination has worked really well for KKR. The opponents seemed to have lost clue every time these two have come out to bat at the top of the order. 

## The striking has been phenomenal. KKR are the only side in this edition of the tournament, who has maintained a run rate of almost close to 10 runs per over in the first six overs. 

## The Australian hard-hitting batsman has notched up 259 runs in just four matches at an astounding average of 86.33. His strike has also been phenomenal - 186.33. 

## Narine's record might not speak very highly of him but his quick-fire innings in almost every game have propelled KKR to wonderful starts.
