The woman had died of poisoning and was kept in the freezer for postmortem. Her family members found her body lying on the floor with body parts and organs missing. They also accused unidentified people of stealing Gold jewellery from the body.
It came as a horrifying surprise for the kin of 40-year-old Pushpa Tiwari whose body was found in a mangled state on the floor of the Dr RML combined hospital morgue. This, despite being locked in the freezer the previous day so that a post mortem could be conducted the next day. What is more suspicious is the fact that gold ornaments were missing from the body.

Moreover, the body was found in a severely mutilated state with the hair, nose, eyes and ears missing. Authorities refused to take any step until a video started circulating on the internet which showed her disfigured body with organs missing and blood splattered everywhere. Meanwhile, Principal Health Secretary Prashant Trivedi said four employees were suspended following the incident. An FIR against the medical, para medical and other hospital staff was lodged by the husband of the deceased. The family also alleged that gold nose pin, earrings and anklets were also missing from the body.
According to the police, Pushpa was admitted to the hospital with acute stomach pain and her condition was critical since she had consumed poison, following a family dispute. She died on Saturday at 6:30 pm, following which her body was stored for post mortem. At 9 am the next day, when her family members came to visit her, they were shocked to find her body lying on the floor and blood splattered everywhere.
Amid growing pressure from the family members of the victim, the hospital authorities admitted their mistake. Dr D S Negi, director, RML Hospital, said, "The ward boy, security guard and two of the security supervisors have been suspended on the basis of evidence." The family finally took the body at 2 pm for post mortem to King George's Medical University and for cremation later in the evening.
