According to TMC sources, many people expressed their anger against Krishnakumar at that meeting. At the end of the meeting, it was found that there was a conflict between the party members. The relationship between Krishnakumar and the former chairman of Jalpaiguri municipality is well known in the district. Abhishek Banerjee has given the responsibility of the team to Mohan Basu.

Leaving the meeting on Wednesday, Mohan said in a tone of anger against Krishnakumar, “I will respond to Mamata Banerjee's call. But not at the call of the president. I will do the work according to my own will. Today's meeting was a blessing for the party. What has been discussed will benefit the team.”

“Abhishek Banerjee gave me extra responsibility. I also informed him that the district committee has not met yet. Abhishek has promised to work with everyone on the team. I have also informed Abhishek about various issues of the municipality, “he added.

Trinamool Jalpaiguri district vice-president Shashank Roy Basunia Sakhede said, “Abhishek Banerjee came to my house but I was not invited to the meeting as the district co-president. But my son is the president of the panchayat association and my wife is the head of the gram panchayat. I finally came to the meeting after receiving a call from Kolkata.”
