Coronavirus: Number of active cases dip further in West Bengal; recovery rate at 96.56%

West Bengal reported 812 new COVID-19 cases taking the toll to 5,56,384. The COVID-19 death toll in West Bengal rose to 9,841 after 24 more people died in the state on Tuesday (January 5).

<p>Out of the 24 deaths, 8 were reported from North 24 Parganas while 4 were registered in Kolkata. The remaining casualties were recorded in various other districts.<br />
