Kolkata: Biker critically injured after being hit by speeding government bus at Dalhousie intersection
A tragic accident took place the day after the weekly lockdown in Kolkata, wherein a person was seriously injured after he collided with a bus. He was admitted to hospital in critical condition. Witnesses claimed that the accident took place because the government bus was speeding.
Kolkata: The day after the weekly lockdown, a tragic accident took place in Kolkata. A person was seriously injured when his bike collided with a bus. He was admitted to hospital in critical condition. Witnesses claimed that the bus was speeding.
The accident took place at Dalhousie intersection on Tuesday (September 8) morning. After the accident, a man was seen lying on the road in a critical condition. Policemen on duty came to the rescue of the man who was riding his two-wheeler. His two-wheeler got under the wheels of the bus and his helmet was lying on the side of the road.

Witnesses said that the bus on the Baruipur-Howrah C-26 route hit the man while he was turning at Dalhousie intersection. Allegedly, the Baruipur-Howrah government bus lost control due to high speed and hit the man. The man fell on the road as soon as he was hit.

Police are yet to identify the man, who was taken to hospital by ambulance from the spot. Due to the accident, traffic was disrupted for some time at Dalhousie intersection.
