Karnataka: Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat tests positive for COVID-19

BJP leader and Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat has tested positive for COVID-19. The MLA took to his social media pages to announce that he would be hospitalised for treatment.

Udupi: BJP Leader and MLA Raghupathi Bhat has been infected with COVID-19.

Raghupathi Bhat tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday and took to his social media pages to announce that he would be hospitalised for treatment.

As per doctors’ advice, Raghupathi Bhat was admitted to a private hospital. In a tweet, the MLA requested those who had accompanied him in recent days to get tested for COVID-19.

The tweet by the BJP leader and Udupi MLA read “Namaskar, dear friends, #COVID -19 test has confirmed I am infected. As per physician’s advice I was hospitalized. Will not be able answer any calls due to the treatment. Apologies. Those who have been in contact with me in the past four to five days, please quarantine yourself and take care. Thank you”.

Meanwhile, a week ago Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar, who had tested positive for COVID-19.

Suresh Kumar was admitted to a hospital on Sunday last week. The minister, who was asymptomatic and was in home isolation since the last one week, took to Twitter on October 5 to announce that he has been advised hospitalisation.
