Bengaluru: Congress leaders and party workers across the state are protesting the CBI raid on DK Shivakumar’s properties.

Congress leaders and party workers claim that the raids on DK Shivakumar’s houses are purely political and are being done whenever there is an election involving the party and the KPCC president.

The BJP has stated that the protests by the Congress over CBI conducting searches at multiple premises on Monday in a corruption case related to party leader DK Shivakumar is ridiculous and meaningless.

Karnataka BJP spokesperson, Captain Ganesh Karnik said CBI, ED & IT are institutions with functional autonomy to investigate and bring to justice financial & criminal fraudsters.

“They are always on their job. The present raid is in continuation of investigations started by ED in 2017,” Ganesh Karnik said.
