Five persons charge-sheeted for alleged links with ISIS affiliate: NIA
The accused are identified as Jahanzaib Sami of Delhi; Hina Bashir, Abdullah Basith, Sadiya Anwar Shaikh and Nabeel Siddick Khatri.
New Delhi: On September 2, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a charge sheet against five people for their alleged association with the banned Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), an affiliate of ISIS, according to reports.
Those charge-sheeted are identified as Jahanzaib Sami of Delhi; Hina Bashir, Abdullah Basith, Sadiya Anwar Shaikh and Nabeel Siddick Khatri.
The charge sheet was filed in a court in Delhi.
According to reports, the accused have been charge-sheeted for their affiliation with the proscribed terrorist organisation ISIS/ISKP with the charge sheet adding that the accused conspired to create disaffection against the government. It also accused them of promoting enmity among different religious communities and of committing subversive activities.
The accused have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
